Israel’s Diamond Exchange Opening up Trading Hall
Israel’s Diamond Exchange (IDE) has opened up its trading floor as of March 13 for members who have been vaccinated or who have recovered from Covid-19, as well as people who present a negative virus test result from the previous two days.
New bourse president Boaz Moldawsky and the IDE board made the decision on Wednesday following a drop in Israel’s infections rate, according to a report on diamonds.net. Although people in the hall will have to social distance, but there are no limits on the numbers of people allowed to be in huge hall.
The IDE’s trade hall has been closed down since September. Some smaller trading rooms have been made available up to now for people to carry out their business. One of these will remain open for those who are not in accordance with the criteria for entering the main floor.
As widely reported in the global media, Israel has become a world leader in delivering vaccines. So far, more than 5 million of Israel’s population of around 9 million people have received at least one dose, while approximately 4 million have received both doses.
